First Nanning International Chess Invitational Tournament Kicks Off |

| On September 6, an international tournament was held in the picturesque Daming Mountain. The First Nanning International Chess Invitational Tournament attracted 10 teams, 20 players from 6 countries, namely China, Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, the United States,stainless steel fastener Canada, and Australia. A team from Taipei, China was also invited. There were two teams from Guangxi, the Guangxi Hualan and Nanning. Both players from Nanning and Vietnam won the first round. And one of the two players from Guangxi Hualan also won the first round. The First Nanning International Chess ball screw Invitational Tournament was cosponsored by Chess & Cards Administration Center of General Administration of Sports of China, Guangxi Sports Administration, and Nanning Government. All players performed well. 8 of the foreign players just attended the World Chess Championship held in Shandong in late August. And Mou Haiqin from the United States won the third place, and Zhuang Hongming from the Philippines ranked the 8th in world chess championship. |
